Obits is the new band from Rick Froberg (vocalist of Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu, and Pitchfork) ... they're great. I ordered their "One Cross Apiee" 7" earlier today, hopefully I'll have that so I can play it for you in January. Their debut LP comes out early 2009 on Sub Pop records.
Oneida are also releasing a triple album called Rated O on Jagjaguwar in the first half of '09. Preteen Weaponry, featured in tonight's show (at least, a little over a third of it) is the first album in a trilogy of albums which will be entitled "Thank Your Parents". Exciting!
